Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy / Stress Reduction (MBCT/SR)
Jo Chittenden is running an 8-week, clinically proven, NICE Guideline recommended and marvellously effective Mindfulness course. Proven benefits of the MBCT/SR course include improved pain management and better recovery from anxiety, stress and depression as well as an increase in overall wellbeing, self compassion and resilience. You don’t of course need to experience health problems to benefit and according to Dan Harris’ study the course also offers a ten percent increase in happiness!
As well as an experienced senior NHS mental health clinician, Jo is am a seasoned MBCT practitioner, teacher and supervisor. She trained in 2015 with the Sussex Mindfulness Centre (SMC) which is globally recognised for excellence in training, research and the development of Mindfulness based initiatives. Jo has taught staff groups for the SMC in the NHS and at the Office of National Statistics as well as to patients and carers. She has also taught on retreats for the general public.
